Community Shabbat Dinners

On Friday, January 23, JRCC branches across the GTA hosted a special Community Shabbat Dinner. The evening was held in honor of the Rebbe’s leadership, commemorated during the following week on Yud Shvat. Guests enjoyed delicious food, excellent company, and a chance to celebrate Shabbat, community, and friendship.

AN EVENING OF CELEBRATION: HONOURING THE REBBE'S LEADERSHIP

The JRCC hosted a memorable evening at JRCC East Thornhill in honor of Yud Shevat, marking the anniversary of the Rebbe’s leadership. Titled “A Portrait in Leadership: Reflections on the Qualities of the Rebbe’s Leadership and How to Implement Them in Our Lives,” the event featured Rabbi Efraim Mintz, founding Executive Director of JLI – the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute. Guests enjoyed hot refreshments and dessert, and the evening’s atmosphere served as a fitting tribute to the Rebbe, his teachings, and his vision for humanity.

JRCC Teen Programs

JRCC teen programs for boys (Cteen Boys) and girls (Jgirls) continue to thrive. This month, the boys came together for a fun movie night, while the girls enjoyed a creative paint night. These programs play an important role in supporting teens socially, fostering their Jewish identity, and keeping them connected and engaged – strengthening both their future and the wider community. Daycare Celebrated Lyla's Birthday

Kids in our daycare celebrated Lyla's birthday and delighted in a snowy day outdoors. Throughout the month, they learned about community helpers and the brachot recited on food, nurturing early lessons in kindness, gratitude and community.
