Newcomer Welcome
Have you recently immigrated to Canada? JRCC would like to officially welcome you and help you and your family integrate into our community.
Welcome Meeting
New immigrants may not be fully aware of the services our community has to offer. JRCC provides welcome meetings to help newcomers learn about the resources and services available to them in Canada.
During the meeting, we provide a walk-through of the services offered by JRCC and other Jewish community organizations that may aid you and your family in your transition.
We also assess your needs and, when appropriate, provide referrals to partner agencies that offer the services you require.
Note: These meetings occur virtually (e.g., Zoom) or via a phone call until further notice.
Who Is Eligible?
Recent Jewish-Russian immigrants who have been in Canada for less than one year are eligible to receive our Newcomer Package.
New Jewish immigrants will also receive a walk-through of the services available through JRCC and other Jewish community organizations that may help with their transition to life in Canada.
Newcomer Package
As part of our welcome to the community, eligible newcomers can receive a Newcomer Package with helpful resources and items to help them get connected to the Jewish community.
