Growing Into a Bat Mitzvah

A meaningful journey of learning, discovery, friendship, creativity, and Jewish identity.

The girls learn about a Jewish woman in our history, exploring her story, the lessons we can learn from her, and most importantly, how we can apply those lessons to our lives today. The girls explore, discover, and discuss what it means to become a Bat Mitzvah and what their responsibilities are as a Bat Mitzvah girl. They then create an exciting craft connected to the woman or topic they have just learned about.

Every girl learns the portion of the Torah that is connected to her Bat Mitzvah birthday. They explore, research, and connect with specific sections of their portion that inspire them.

Many discussions and hands-on activities delve into the meaning of becoming a Bat Mitzvah, the beauty of a Jewish woman and girl inside and out, the true meaning of self-esteem, relationships with peers, and much more.

All questions and comments are welcomed and add spice and spirit to the classes.
