Summer Camp
Now in its third year, the JRCC's Summer Adventure Camp took boys and girls ages 11 to 15 on two separate one-week camp adventures near Mono Cliffs, Ontario. Participants made fast friends and experienced a week packed with excitement - from challenging outdoor activities like Canoeing and Mountain Biking, to skill building activities like tree-top roping and Trampolining. All of this took place in a beautiful, expansive, natural setting with comfortable accommodations.
How did the campers enjoy the experience? Here's what they had to say: "I had such a great time last year. I can't believe this year was even better"; "It was so awesome. I made great friends that I know I will stay in touch with."; "I really appreciated the chance to make Jewish friends and learn about my heritage while having so much fun at the same time."

JRCC Email: Your preferences, delivered to you

One of the wonders of modern communication is that it expresses the notion that we a truly one people. Utilizing communication tools to keep people connected to their heritage and their community, and to one another, is part and parcel with the JRCC’s mission to serve the community.
There are different monthly, weekly and daily emails published by the JRCC, with original and thoughtful content about the Jewish year and events in our community. You can subscribe to receive different emails based on which neighbourhood you live in, based on what your interests are, or based on what services are relevant to your family.
Some emails also contains recipes, humour, a question of
the week, and featured articles. “I love this service,” exclaims Ron, a busy entrepreneur residing in Thornhill. “I get relevant insights into Jewish life from the rabbi at the right time, and reminders about upcoming events in our neighbourhood that I wouldn’t want to miss. Even if I can’t go, it’s great to know what’s going on in the community. The service is great because I don’t have to remember to check the calendar or the website -
the information comes to me at the right time!”
“The timely updates are really convenient and keep me informed about places and events to take my kids to,” says Ariella. “And I really enjoy starting off my day with a cup of coffee and the meditative Daily Dose by Tzvi Freeman.”
Make sure your email preferences are up to date so you get the information you want delivered when you want it, and stay apprised of programs and events for you and your family in your community.
